Washing machine stopped working that we eventually self diagnosed was a fault with the lid latch mechanism. Very few engineers offered support for Maytag and those that did charged circa £200 just for a call-out! After researching via the internet and YouTube we found Ransomspares had the required part and the process for changing the part looked quite straightforward. We purchased the part and requested (and paid extra) a fast delivery (within 2 days). The part arrived after a week, which was very disappointing, however we did get a refund for the extra delivery charge. The part was precisely the same as the one on the machine and was a fairly simple swap out process following the YouTube guidance. Overall a very happy and much cheaper outcome compared to paying for an engineer. Only disappointment was the delivery, which may be the fault of the delivery company (Evri), but at least a fault fixed and the response from Ransomspares quick and efficient.
